It's not all about cuddling animals in Animal Science. It's work. Proper care, nutrition, and sanitation are crucial for healthy and happy animals. This week, our feathery, furry, and scaly friends came back to campus after spending the summer with our returning students. The seniors were busy this morning cleaning, arranging, and providing quality care to our animals and their new habitats in lab.
Our Engineering students tested their spaghetti bridges this afternoon to see how much weight each bridge could hold before breaking. Each group worked with limited supplies - uncooked spaghetti, rubber bands, and glue - to design and build the most effective structure.
Dr. Robinson's Government classes had a classic "whodunit" as they worked together to solve a murder using a set of clues given to them.
Could you put a puzzle together without looking? That's what students in Mrs. Walser's class did yesterday. Working in teams, one student from each team had to keep their eyes closed while listening to the directional cues from the remaining team members. Students were challenged to collaborate and communicate effectively to win. Nice work!

We are SO EXCITED to see our new OHP students tomorrow (Aug. 16)! We utilize a staggered start to allow our new students to get used to campus, meet teachers, and ask any questions about classes, transportation, or technology (and anything else).
