Hope Squad

Ohio Hi-Point recently held a building-wide Hope Squad assembly. Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program. Hope Squad members are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy peers and trained by advisors. The program reduces youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. During the assembly, students completed the first phase of establishing OHP’s chapter by nominating students they feel would best thrive as a Hope Squad leader. The Hope Squad advisors are Megan Elkins, Shelby Clem, Angie Haver, Dustin Tullis, Dr. Robinson, Ginger Shellenberger, and Angie Walls.
