The new Messer CNC Machine was delivered to Ohio Hi-Point Welding and Fab lab last week. This impressive piece of machinery took a team to unload and place in the lab.
To help unload the CNC machine, students learned about rigging, hand signals, and safety when handling large items with heavy equipment. In addition, students learned about the importance of collaboration and clear communication.
As a bonus, the Welding seniors in our Work-Based Learning program had the opportunity to work with a telescopic forklift.
The first project for our new CNC Machine is to create our logo to install on the front of OHP's new building addition.
