Shear Ceremony

Last week, 25 Cosmetology juniors took one step closer to earning their Ohio State Board of Cosmetology License by participating in the program's annual Shear Ceremony. 

After successfully completing Haircutting 101, which includes six different hair styles, six different styles of haircuts, two shaving tests, and a written test, students received their own professional pair of shears. 

The following students received certificates and a professional pair of shears: 

Ava Blair (Urbana), Keirsten Blanton (Mechanicsburg), Kourtnie Burr (Urbana), Tabbitha Clark (Indian Lake), Eliza Dewitt (Mechanicsburg), Mary Flowers (Urbana), Emma Gaver (Marysville), Kadence Grim (Graham), Kaytlyn Harvey (Bellefontaine), Lexi James (Waynesfield-Goshen), Raven Johnson (West Liberty-Salem), Karlee Kabua (Bellefontaine), Brianna Kiefer (Bellefontaine), Terran Maier (Bellefontaine), Jasmyne Marquis (Marysville), Calie McDaniel (Triad), Kameron Mitchell (Urbana), Sue Lexi Mitchell (Mechanicsburg), Marley Ropp (Bellefontaine), Bethanie Shorr (Marysville), Lauren Smith (Graham), Logan Smith (Ridgemont), Braxton Thomas (Ridgemont), Jillian Williams (Bellefontaine), Destiny Young (Indian Lake).

The students are currently taking customers at Ohio Hi-Point’s salon on the Bellefontaine Main Campus. Community members can call 937-599-3010 ext. 1420 to schedule an appointment.
