Ohio Hi-Point Career Center

Members of the Triad FFA chapter competed in the Champaign County Soil Judging Career Development event on September 16. The FFA chapter is part of Ohio Hi-Point’s Agriculture satellite program at Triad High School.

In the rural contest, students evaluated soil for agricultural properties to determine whether the soil was suitable for growing agricultural crops. The Triad-OHP FFA Chapter placed third in the contest overall. Gage Phillips placed eighth, Joe Williams placed 14^th, Thomas Ford placed 17^th, Evan Culp placed 18^th, Holden LeVan placed 19^th, and Jesse Bailey placed 30^th.

Students also competed at the District Soil Judging Career Development Event in Marion County on September 28. The FFA Chapter placed 10^th overall out of 18 competing chapters. Jesse Bailey placed 36^th, Gage Phillips placed 47^th, Thomas Ford placed 50^th, Holden LeVan placed 55^th, and Joe Williams placed 73^rd.
