I chose Ohio Hi-Point because:

Hi-Point gives me the opportunity to learn what I want to learn, on top of what I already need to learn. Having a lab like the Graphic & Media Arts Academy gives me the motivation to keep on top of my academic grades.

At Ohio Hi-Point, I'm involved in the following activities:

SkillsUSA, Student Influencers

My favorite part about Ohio Hi-Point is:

Getting to create content with some of my new closest friends. The amount of incredible talent I've seen amongst my peers is phenomenal, and I wouldn't want to learn beside any other class.

My most memorable moment at Ohio Hi-Point was:

Having the most epic jam session with Mr. Lacher the last day of school my junior year. That and Wyatt buying him a rubber alligator... twice.

What surprised me most about Ohio Hi-Point was:

The amount of people all having different career goals or dreams working together to create something amazing. It doesn't matter what school you're from, what sport you play, your personal beliefs, we're all here to learn and grow as a class and as individuals.

The teacher who has had the biggest impact on me is:

Must I pick one?? In all honesty, I'd have to pick Mr. Lacher. Hands down. He brought out the best of us, and we couldn't go a day without laughing our heads off in lab. He took the diverse span of talent among us and fit them together like a giant puzzle. His overall great personality and professionalism has a balance with humor that few people can achieve. I really look up to the guy.

My advice to students who may be looking to apply to Ohio Hi-Point is:

Find your passion first. Once you have that, find where that path can take you. Do your research, try out the labs!! Look into something that tickles your fancy, and something that doesn't at all. You might be surprised! HiPoint isn't just for people going into the workforce; both of my older sisters graduated from HiPoint and both are in college! All of the teachers and counselors here are more than willing to help you find your way into a career that will bring you the most success and the most happiness.

After graduation:

Hopefully attending college at Liberty University, going for a BFA.
