A large amount of progress was made again this week as the new building addition starts taking form! The new addition will house the new Cosmetology and Culinary Arts programs as well as Health Careers Academy and Education Academy. The new science labs will also be located in the new addition.
Monarch Construction made progress on the following this week:
New Addition:
- Steel structures for second floor and roof columns/beams in place
- Attached the existing joist of the old main entrance to the new addition.
- Began the steel decking on the second floor.
Interior Renovations:
- Concrete poured in the old Main lobby area.
Diesel Renovation:
- Continued work on the Diesel lab expansion
- Began work on electrical, HVAC units and ductwork.
New Mechanical Room:
- Boiler/chiller room cooling tower delivered and set
- Progress in the switchgear room including new sanitary piping.
- Installation of new underground conduits for new power supply for main bldg.
- Preparing to re-roof the mechanical room.
