Ohio Hi-Point Career Center recognized 11 students who have committed to military service during its Military Signing Day ceremony on April 30.
Military Signing Day is part of Ohio Hi-Point’s broader What’s Your E? initiative, which was created in collaboration with the Logan County Collaborative, and recognizes students pursuing employment, enrollment, enlistment or entrepreneurship after graduation. The military ceremony provides a focused opportunity to recognize those choosing to serve.
“We are preparing our students to be career-ready,” said Wes Hunsucker, CT Supervisor. “While our students are developing technical skills, they are also gaining experiences that strengthen their character."
Throughout the building, Ohio Hi-Point emphasizes its ASPIRE core values: Accountability, Service, Prepared, Innovation, Relationships and Engagement.
“These students have taken accountability for their learning and growth, served their communities through their labs and CTSO projects, and prepared themselves with the knowledge, skills and credentials needed for their next step,” Hunsucker said. “They’ve been challenged to think differently, build relationships and stay engaged in their education.”
