Ohio Hi-Point Career Center is proud to announce that three students were elected Central Ohio SkillsUSA Regional Officers during this week’s SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference.
Alejandro Orjuela (Engineering Academy, Marysville), Jacob Riley (Cosmetology, Indian Lake), and Olivia Newland (EMT, Ridgemont) were elected following a multi-round voting process in which candidates campaigned, met with voting delegates, and participated in leadership activities.
Nearly 40 Ohio Hi-Point students attended the conference, joining SkillsUSA chapters from across the state to participate in business and industry-led sessions, network with peers, and choose from more than 30 professional development workshops.
As Central Ohio Regional Officers, Orjuela, Riley, and Newland will help support SkillsUSA members across the region, which includes students from Butler Tech/D. Russel Lee, Butler Tech/Colerain, Butler Tech/Fairfield, Butler Tech/Northwest, Butler Tech/Ross, Butler Tech School of Arts, Cincinnati Woodward, Diamond Oaks CDC, Greene County Career Center, Greenville High School, Kettering-Fairmont, Laurel Oaks CDC, Live Oaks CDC, Miami Valley CTC, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, Ponitz Career Technology Center, Scarlet Oaks CDC, Springfield-Clark CTC, Stebbins High School, Tolles CTC, Tri-Star Career Compact, Upper Valley Career Center, and Warren County Career Center.
