Innovative Idea Award Winners

As part of Ohio Hi-Point Career Center's Vision 2030 strategic plan to enhance instructional tools and student engagement, OHP is proud to highlight our 2025 Innovative Award winners.

Shelby Clem, OHP Campus EMT Instructor, introduced a technology-based scheduling system that streamlined the process for Parent-Teacher Conferences on campus.

Justin Silver, OHP Campus Graphic and Media Arts Instructor, launched Workforce Wednesdays, a weekly classroom activity that allows students to research and explore careers within their program’s industry.

Shelly Swaney, OHP Campus Intervention Services Coordinator, created a SkillsUSA Student Leadership Team to improve communication between staff and students while encouraging leadership and involvement within the organization.

Staff members were recognized during the September 24, 2025 Board of Education meeting. In addition to a plaque celebrating their innovative idea, these staff members also received a monetary prize. These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in career education.
