Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Top 15 graduating seniors and honored educators were celebrated during OHP’s Top 15 Seniors Honored Educator Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, May 7.
The annual event is an opportunity for the top seniors to select and recognize an educator who impacted and influenced their educational careers. Before the ceremony, students, educators, and families enjoyed desserts and refreshments. Kendra Kern (Criminal Justice, Marysville) led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The following students and educators were recognized during the ceremony:
· Alex Rhoden, a Criminal Justice senior from Marysville High School, recognized Rick Jordan, Drone Instructor at OHP.
· Weston Helman, a Graphic and Media Arts senior from Graham High School, recognized Caitlin Noll, the Event Manager for SkillsUSA.
· Chelsea Jordan, an Exercise Science senior from Upper Scioto Valley High School, recognized Heather Smith, her Exercise Science Instructor at OHP.
· Clara Mitchel, an Animal Science senior from Marysville High School, recognized Zara Zarr, her Equestrian Coach.
· Laila Lynch, a Graphic and Media Arts Academy senior from Indian Lake High School, recognized Justin Silver, her Graphic and Media Arts Instructor at OHP.
· Jordyn Green, a Health Careers Academy senior from Waynesfield-Goshen High School, recognized Rachel Schroeder, her School Counselor at OHP.
· June Fosnaugh, a Graphic and Media Arts Academy senior from Marysville, recognized Dr. Robinson, her Social Studies Instructor at OHP.
· Xavier Spain, a Graphic and Media Arts Academy senior from Bellefontaine High School, recognized Justin Silver, his Graphic and Media Arts Instructor at OHP.
· Donald Dunn, an Engineering Academy senior from Kenton High School, recognized Justin Rigsby, the Career-Tech Supervisor at OHP.
· Haeleigh Trainer-Donohoe, a Health Careers Academy senior from Urbana High School, recognized Rick Jordan, Drone Instructor at OHP.
· Kendra Kern, a Criminal Justice senior from Marysville High School, recognized Ben Brockway, her Criminal Justice Instructor at OHP.
· Mallory Pummell, an Education Academy senior from Indian Lake High School, recognized Angie Walls, her Education Academy Instructor at OHP.
· Zachary Maser, a Heavy Equipment Operations senior Urbana High School, recognized Cole Carpenter, his Heavy Equipment Operations Instructor at OHP.
· Zek Wedertz, a Culinary Arts senior from Marysville, recognized Chef Jason Cobb, her Culinary Arts Instructor at OHP.
· Andrew Stroud, a Health Careers Academy senior from Indian Lake, recognized Dr. Robinson, his Social Studies Instructor at OHP.
