Ohio Hi-Point Professional Experience Days
November 21 &22, 2024
Dear OHP Families,
Your student will be participating in our upcoming school-wide Professional Experience Days. Professional Experience Days allow students to participate in various individualized, on and off-campus professional experiences over two days.
The experience options listed below are designed to be completed on Thursday, Nov. 21, and Friday, Nov 22. Your student will select which experience option is completed on each day. Students must complete a total of two experiences, one for each day. Paperwork documenting your student’s experience(s) must be submitted by Tuesday, November 26, 2024, or each experience day will be recorded as an unexcused absence.
Professional Experience Days are required school days. Students are entrusted to make the arrangements and follow through on these professional opportunities. These activities are intended to count for six hours of attendance each day. If your student does not participate, it will count as two unexcused absences on their attendance record. Please note, even if your student has an approved off-campus activity, as required by law, you will receive an attendance phone call, but your student will NOT be counted absent if they participate in a professional experience option.
The following are important steps your student needs to complete for Professional Experience Days:
1. Coordinate the Off-Campus Experiences Students will connect with local employers, prospective colleges/universities, or military recruiters and make arrangements for each day’s off-campus activities.
2. Complete the Experience Selection Form Once the arrangements are made, students must complete the Pre-Experience Selection Form by Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Scan the QR Code below to access the form.
3. Submit the Post-Experience Verification Form After each day’s experience, students must have an authorized person complete the Post-Experience Verification Form.
The student must return this form to their program instructor by Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024. Included in this letter are the assignment options and a Self-Transportation Form.
If you have questions, please contact us at (937) 599-3010 Ext. 1200.
