The Ohio Hi-Point Board of Education recognized Ohio Hi-Point's 2018-19 Main Campus Students and Staff Members of the Month during Wednesday evening's regularly scheduled meeting.

The following staff members were recognized for being Staff Member of the Month during the 2018-19 school year:

  • Jenna Alig (Administrative Assistant to the Supervisors)
  • Amy McCarthy (Health and Safety Coordinator)

  • Lauryn Elliott (Culinary Arts Aide)
  • Tami Troyer (Receptionist)

The Board also talked about Ohio Hi-Point's Convocation Ceremony, which is on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Ohio Hi-Point. The ceremony is outdoors. Bellefontaine High School is the secondary location in the event of inclement weather.

  • Heard the Legislative Report from Paul McMahill
  • Approved the action items recommended by the Treasurer including the February 2019 Financial Statement, interest and investments, appropriation modifications, transfers, and advances, and appropriation increases and decreases
  • Approved the disposition of assets as presented
  • Approved the internship agreements with the companies listed
  • Approved employment of Shawn Campbell, Kenton, as a Facility Specialist, effective April 1, 2019
  • Approved the resignation of Richard Allen, Springfield, Manufacturing instructor, effective June 30, 2019 for personal reasons
  • Approved the attendance of Kurt Forrest, Mechanicsburg Satellite CBI instructor, to attend the United State Marine Educator Workshop in Parris Island, Sc in April
  • Approved the Out-of-State Study Trips for Shawn Miller, Bellefontaine Satellite Advanced Manufacturing Instructor; Jayne Jones, Benjamin Logan Satellite Digital Design Instructor; Mark Curtner, Graham/Urbana Satellite Aviation Instructor; Rick Allen & Bethany West-Smith, Marysville ECHS Satellite Engineering Instructors; Tyler Hodge, Riverside Satellite Advanced Manufacturing Instructor; and Todd Bodey, Triad Satellite Advanced Manufacturing Instructor, to chaperone students qualifying to compete at the National SkillsUSA Conference in Louisville, KY in June
  • Approved the Out-of-State Study Trips for Cheryl Hess, Graham Satellite Biomedical Sciences Instructor; Deb Purcell, Kenton Satellite Allied Health Instructor; Stefanie Brown, Marysville ECHS Satellite Biomedical Sciences Instructor; and Cheri McSheffery, Marysville ECHS Satellite Allied Health Instructor, to chaperone students qualifying to compete at the HOSA National Conference in Orlando, FL in June
  • Approved the fingerprint background check processing fees for OHP staff members as follows, effective April 1, 2019
