Honored Education Banquet

Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s Top 15 graduating seniors and honored educators were celebrated during OHP’s Top 15 Seniors Honored Educator Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, May 3.

The annual event is an opportunity for the top seniors to select and recognize an educator who impacted and influenced their educational careers. Before the ceremony, students, educators, and families enjoyed desserts made by the Culinary Arts students. McKenize Davenport (Automotive Academy, Bellefontaine) led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The following students and educators were recognized during the ceremony:

Kamryn Gilmore, a Graphic and Media Arts Academy senior from Benjamin Logan High School, recognized Mark Butler, the Academic Supervisor at Ohio Hi-Point.

Marlee Kite, a Health Careers Academy senior from Graham High School, recognized Stacey Stoner, her preschool teacher from Graham Elementary.

Ava Moore, an Animal Science senior from Graham High School, recognized her mother, Melissa Weber.

Jessie Jacobs, a Welding and Fabrication senior from Indian Lake High School, recognized Mark Barger, her Welding and Fabrication instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.

McKenize Davenport, an Automotive Academy senior from Bellefontaine High School, recognized Josh Wallace, her mathematics teacher from Bellefontaine.

Payton Shaw, a Culinary Arts senior from Benjamin Logan High School, recognized Shelby Clem, the Academic Supervisor’s Secretary at Ohio Hi-Point.

Jenna Jordan, a Graphic and Media Arts Academy senior from Ridgemont, recognized Rochelle Conrad, the Animal Science instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.

Rune Spurgeon, an Animal Science senior from Marysville High School, recognized Rochelle Conrad, her Animal Science instructor at Ohio Hi-Point.

Addison Epling, a Health Careers Academy senior from Ridgemont High School, recognized Maelinn Myers, her mathematics teacher at Ohio Hi-Point.

Braxton Thomas, a Cosmetology senior from Ridgemont High School, recognized Megan Schneider, her mathematics teacher at Ohio Hi-Point.

Alyvia Spriggs, a Welding and Fabrication senior from Kenton High School, recognized Ryan Gilbert, her English teacher at Ohio Hi-Point.

Avery Newland, a Spa Nail Tech senior from Ridgemont High School, recognized Ryan Gilbert, her English teacher at Ohio Hi-Point.

Lexi Mitchell, a Cosmetology senior from Mechanicsburg High School, recognized Stephen Magyar, her Related Arts teacher from Mechanicsburg.

Jack Buckalew, an Education Academy senior from Urbana High School, recognized Megan Schneider, his mathematics teacher at Ohio Hi-Point.

Drake Argabright, a HVAC senior from Bellefontaine, recognized his mother, Tanisha McCreary.
