Graham FCCLA

Thirty-six Ohio Hi-Point FCCLA students advanced to the FCCLA state competition after competing at the FCCLA Region 4 Competition Events on March 18, 2023

Of those 36 students, 27 students are from Ohio Hi-Point’s Family and Consumer Science satellite program at Graham High School. The following OHP/Graham FCCLA students advanced to the state competition:

Eight students from Ohio Hi-Point’s Education Academy program at the Bellefontaine campus advanced to the FCCLA state competition:

  • Emily Alig (Indian Lake), Aliya McCary (Bellefontaine), and Hannah Turner (West Liberty-Salem) - FACTS
  • Mandalynn Brazzle (Bellefontaine) - Early Childhood Education 
  • Sariah Miller (Benjamin Logan) and Hannah Turner (West Liberty-Salem) - National Programs in Action
  • Jack Buckalew (Urbana) - Professional Presentation
  • Regan Bunn (Urbana) - Professional Presentation Emma Johnson (Riverside) - Public Policy Advocate

Blake Counts (Marysville), a Culinary Arts senior, also advanced to the state level in the Baking & Pastry competition after competing at the FCCLA culinary regional event in February. 

In addition, the following OHP students are running for FCCLA state/regional officer positions:

  • Hayley Kitzmiller (Culinary Arts, Benjamin Logan)

The Ohio FCCLA Leadership Conference takes place April 27-28 in Columbus. The OHP/Graham FCCLA chapter is under the guidance of instructor chapter advisor, Donna Jarzab, and the OHP FCCLA chapter is under the guidance of instructors and chapter advisors, Angie Walls (Education Academy and Jason Cobb (Culinary Arts).
