Marysville HOSA students

Several students from Ohio Hi-Point's Health Careers Academy and Exercise Science programs on the Bellefontaine Campus as well as OHP’s Allied Health and Nursing program at Marysville Early College High School advanced to the HOSA State Leadership Conference after competing in the Regional HOSA event on February 11.

Students competed in a variety of event categories including: Medical Law and Ethics, Medical Terminology, Human Growth and Development, Forensic Science, and Physical Therapy.

The following students advanced to the HOSA State Leadership competition taking place in March:

  • Donny Whitmire (Bellefontaine High School) - 1st place in Life Support Skills
  • Blaire Warneke (Marysville Early College High School) - 1st place in Clinical Lab Science
  • Olivia Gratz (Marysville Early College High School) - 1st place in Human Growth and Development
  •  Leyla Johnson (Bellefontaine High School), Darlene Haines (Graham High School), Addison Epling (Ridgemont High School), and Marlee Kite (Graham High School) - 1st place in HOSA Bowl
  • Sarah Folk (Benjamin Logan High School) - 2nd place in Physical Therapy
  • Tiffany Carter (Graham High School), Grace Holycross (Triad High School), Trinity Koch (Indian Lake High School), and Aubree Davis  (Riverside High School)- 2nd place in HOSA Bowl
  • Francheska Libiran (Marysville Early College High School) and Evan Donahue (Marysville Early College High School) - 2nd place in CPR
  • Isabella Hackett (Marysville Early College High School) - 3rd place in Nutrition
  • Brice Johnson (Upper Scioto Valley High School) - 4th place in Physical Therapy
  • Kaitlyn Gregg (Triad High School) - 4th place in Sports Medicine
  • Eugenia Trujillo (Marysville Early College High School) - 4th place in Human Growth and Development
  • Allee Forrider (Marysville Early College High School)- 4th place in Persuasive speaking
  • Katrina Penhorwood (Triad High School), Hadie Richer (Graham High School), Taylor Stoneburner (Indian Lake High School), Zada Bennett (Benjamin Logan High School) - 4th place in Medical Debate Team
