It is with great excitement and anticipation that OHP extends an invitation to you and your family to Ohio Hi-Point’s Class of 2023 Convocation Ceremony.
2023 CONVOCATION CEREMONY
WEDNESDAY, MAY 24, 2023
6:30 P.M.
The Convocation Ceremony will take place at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center at the highest point in Ohio. The ceremony will also be live streamed and available at www.PeakofOhio.com.
Are there guest limits and/or tickets to reserve?
There are no guest limits or tickets to reserve. This is an exciting time to celebrate the Class of 2023 and with plenty of seating available, no tickets will be issued.
What is the dress attire for my graduate?
Men are asked to wear a collared shirt, tie, and dress pants. Ladies are asked to wear a dress, skirt, or dress pants with a nice shirt. Graduates will wear their partner school robe; no graduation cap is worn. This is a special evening and we ask that no participating seniors wear jeans.
SENIOR CELEBRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES
All seniors are required to attend and complete their course work for the reminder of the school ear. To participate in Convocation, students must have fees paid (including any computer repair bills), meet all lab requirements, and be eligible to receive a Career-Technical certificate. Seniors should check with their lab instructor if there is any doubt about receiving a certificate.
Senior Awards Ceremony
Senior Breakfast is Wednesday, May 24, 2023. This is an activity for seniors and their instructors. Students will report to school as usual for attendance and breakfast will begin around 8:30 a.m. and convocation practice will follow the breakfast.
Convocation Practice Ceremony
Students must take part in practice in order to participate in the Convocation ceremony. Convocation practice takes place immediately after Senior Breakfast and Awards. Around 11 a.m., all students will report to Campbell Hill for a Senior photo and be released for the remainder of the school day. No lunch will be served. Convocation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 6:30 p.m.
What if there is bad weather?
If there is bad weather, the Convocation Ceremony will be moved to Bellefontaine High School. We will communicate any changes with parents via FinalForms, an all-call, WPKO, WKTN, the Examiner, our social media channels, and our website.
