News Update

Dear OHP Students and Families,

On Friday, May 7, Ohio Hi-Point is conducting a state-mandated intruder drill. This is to practice our emergency procedures and local law enforcement will be on campus to assist.

During the drill, students will take direction from OHP teachers and staff. Please be aware that law enforcement assisting with the drill will be firing blanks and causing commotion in the hallways. At no time will they be approaching students, and students will not be in harm’s way. The drill is to practice our emergency procedures and staff will be directing our students the entire time.

This state-mandated intruder drill will take place on Friday, May 7 at 9 a.m. and conclude around 9:30 a.m.

We want to thank our SRO Deputy Adam for speaking with our students last week about intruder training as well as our local law enforcement for their continued support to keep our students, staff, and campus safe.

If you have any questions, or wish to have your student opt-out of the drill, please call us at (937) 599-3010.

Thank you,

Dr. Rick Smith
Superintendent
