First-year students start school on Tuesday, August 14. All students (first-year and current) return to campus on Wednesday, August 15.
Student Orientation is Monday, August 6. Students and parents are encouraged to attend Student Orientation at a time that best fits their schedule between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to:
- Pick up uniforms
- Pick up schedules
- Complete a mandatory Emergency Medical Form and any other required forms
- See and ask questions about student laptops
- Load funds onto a personal PayForIt cafeteria account
- Register for a parking permit
- Meet teachers
- Attend one general session with the high school director at 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m., or 6 p.m
All students are required to complete an Emergency Medical Form with their parent(s)/guardian(s) before participating in their career program. Students may download the form, print, complete, and return to the school nurse during Student Orientation on August 6. Forms will also be available during the evening for students to complete.
Ohio Hi-Point only accepts printed Emergency Medical Forms.

Student Accident Insurance
Students and families have the option to purchase Student Accident Insurance for the 2018-2019 school year. This is only voluntary and NOT required.
Ohio Hi-Point’s cafeteria provides a variety of breakfast and lunch options for students. For the 2018-2019 year, the cost of a breakfast meal is $1.60 and a lunch meal is $2.85. Students can load funds onto their cafeteria account through PayForIt. Students can set up an account in just a few minutes by following these step-by-step instructions. If a student feels they qualify for free or reduced meals, they should complete and return a Free and Reduced Lunch application to the high school office.
General Study Trip Permission Form
In anticipation of another exciting year of study trips, students and their parent/guardian are asked to sign the General Study Trip Permission Form. You can download, print, and bring the signed form to Student Orientation.
If a student has questions about their schedule or needs to request a schedule change, they should contact their OHP school counselor.
Student drivers can register their vehicle to receive a parking permit during Student Orientation on August 6. The parking permit must be displayed in the vehicle at all times. If a permit is lost, the student must purchase the replacement.
Students interested in Student Council can pick up an application during Student Orientation. Student Council plans Fall and Spring Field Days, a fall dance, prom, teacher appreciation activities, community service, projects and much more while making friendships and having fun! The council meets on the first Wednesday of every month. Applications will also be in the cafeteria from August 14 through August 27 during breakfast and lunch. Applications are due August 28.
Student Ambassador Program
Hold a leadership role in the school and represent the district during visits and events throughout the school year. Speak about your experiences, help coordinate tours, and lead tours for students and families.
Applications can be picked up in the front office and are due August 22.
First Days of School
Ohio Hi-Point's utilizes a “staggered start” schedule, which means only first-year students start school on Tuesday, August 14. All students (first-year and current) will return on Wednesday, August 15.
Partner schools know of Ohio Hi-Point's start time and bus transportation is provided to and from Ohio Hi-Point's campus. For questions on transportation, contact the transportation department at the partner school.
