Ava Zell named November Student of the Month -

Why I chose Ohio Hi-Point:
I wanted to take advantage of the training that is provided to help further my career in Graphic Design.

I'm involved in the following activities at Ohio Hi-Point:
Skills USA, Stand Fast

My favorite part about Ohio Hi-Point is:
The hands on learning. I like to learn by actually going through the process of what I am learning, and seeing why it works or why it doesn't.

My most memorable moment at Ohio Hi-Point was:
When I attended Skills USA State Competition in March for screen printing and won bronze.

What surprised me most about Ohio Hi-Point was:
The flexibility in schedule. When I first came to Hi-Point, I thought that the schedule would be difficult for me as a half-day student. Instead, the schedule has been really easy and has allowed me to still continue classes at my homeschool, and do volunteer work.

The teacher who has had the biggest impact on me is:
Mr. Carrig. He has helped my to push myself to try new things, to become a better designer.

My advice to students who may be looking to apply to Ohio Hi-Point is:
Take advantage of the classes provided here. Hi-Point is a great place to spend the last couple of years of high school. When you go through one of the labs here, you will come out prepared to work or further your education in your chosen career.

After graduation:
I am going directly into the workforce.
