Tools Camp schedule announced for incoming students, parents

Incoming students and their parents are invited to take advantage of a free workshop called Tools Camp.  The special workshop is designed to teach new students about the MacBook technology since all students will receive their own laptop.  Students will also learn laptop troubleshooting, the student email system, how to access Ohio Hi-Point's online classroom environment, creating electronic documents, saving work on the school network, internet safety and more.

The camp is designed for those who feel they need to learn how to better use email and other computer applications, as it will be required as a student at Ohio Hi-Point.  A special emphasis will also be placed on social networks, the internet and other technology skills.  Students who complete the full five-hour camp will be assigned their laptop on the final day to take home with them.

The camp is a five-hour computer and internet literacy program designed to prepare students for success with the laptop program, an integral part of the school's emphasis on preparing students for the 21st century.
