Program Description
Health Technology is a seamless program that begins in high school and continues to a college health-related program. Health Tech teaches students hands-on medical skills. Students have the opportunity to enroll in the State Tested Nurse’s Assistant (STNA) program, allowing them to take the state examination during their senior year. Students will complete clinical experience in local health care facilities during their senior year.

Program Highlights:
- Health Technology is a seamless program that begins in high school and continues to a college health-related program.
- Health Technology teaches students the core body of knowledge in health science, and hands on medical skills.
- Students have the opportunity to become State Tested Nursing Assistants.
- They will complete a clinical rotation in an extended-care facility and have an opportunity to job shadow in a Health Care Environment.

Post-Secondary Options
This College Tech Prep program is operated jointly with Clark State Community College and Rhodes State College. Students receive college credit at these colleges for classes taken at Ohio H-Point (23 credit hours at Clark State and 15 credit hours at Rhodes State depending on the program they enter). Tech Prep Scholarships of $1,000 at Rhodes and $1,200 per year at Clark State are available for those completing the 2 year Health Tech program.
Students will take Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry and College Math as part of the program.
