Program Description:
This program prepares students to work as licensed cosmetologists in salons and day spas.  Students spend 300 hours practicing on mannequins and each other before providing customer services.  They receive training in skills such as hair care and coloring, permanent waving and relaxing, pedicuring, and nail and skin care.  The Cosmetology program is fully certified by the State of Ohio.  Graduates are expected to take and pass the State Board of Cosmetology examination upon successful completion of their two-year program.  The program operates a certified Paul Mitchell Salon.

Job Possibilities: Careers in salons, salon management
Post-Secondary Options:
Graduates of this program may take one additional course for their salon manager’s license.  They may also enroll in associate degree programs in business management.  Students are members of Skills-USA, the nation’s largest career-technical student organization.
Job placement through School-To-Work allows students to begin their career prior to high school graduation.
