Empty Bowls of Logan County

Has your bowl ever been empty?

In recent years, bowls were empty for thousands of Logan County residents. Food insecurity is a hard reality for many of our neighbors and Second Harvest Food Bank is working hard to alleviate this inequity. You can too.

"Empty Bowls of Logan County," an event to raise awareness about the growing problem of hunger in Logan County, will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center in the high school cafeteria, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank for Logan, Champaign and Clark Counties. For $15, patrons will receive a beautiful hand-crafted ceramic bowl (made by local potters, artists and high school students) and a simple meal of soup and bread. All proceeds benefit the Food Bank, which supports Logan County member agencies- all local food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.

Join us for a modest meal with a powerful message.
